  • Feds Will Pay 7.4 Percent More Toward Health Care Premiums in 2016

    The overall average Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) premium increase for 2016 will be 6.4 percent, while the average enrollee share will increase by 7.4 percent. The average increase last year was 3.2 percent. Open Season will be held from November 9 through December 14, 2015. The 2016 plan year will also be the first time feds can sign up for Self Plus One coverage, rather than self only and Self Plus Family. FMA worked to include Self Plus One as an option within FEHB, and is excited to see it take effect.
