  • FEDS ON TRACK FOR ONE PERCENT PAY RAISE - September 2, 2014
  • By Eric Katz, Government Executive

President Obama took steps on Friday, August 29, to move forward with a one percent pay raise for all federal employees. He called for this increase in his Fiscal Year 2015 budget request. Unless Congress takes active steps to block it -- which they have not done -- the one percent raise will become law. The Federal Managers Association (FMA) supports this effort, but urges Congress to pass legislation sponsored by Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) that would provide a 3.3% pay increase.
