  • Bill Would Give Federal Employees a 5.3 Pay Raise in 2017

    Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) reintroduced the Federal Adjustment of Income Rates (FAIR) Act (H.R. 4585) on Tuesday, February 23, which would provide a 5.3% pay raise to federal employees. The bill includes a 3.9 percent bump of base pay, along with an additional 1.4 percent for locality pay, for Fiscal Year 2017. H.R. 4585 has 32 original cosponsors. FMA endorsed this legislation, along with other members of the Federal-Postal Coalition.
