FMA Washington Report: December 5, 2025
Reminder: FMA Encourages Participation in 2025 Public Service Viewpoint Survey

In August 2025, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) officially cancelled the 2025 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS). The annual FEVS, mandated by law, is a snapshot poll survey gauging employee engagement, morale, and more in the federal workforce.

We at FMA are partnering with the Partnership for Public Service to help distribute the Public Service Viewpoint Survey, which they are administering in the absence of a 2025 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey and other federal staff surveys. We believe gathering data on the federal employee experience at this critical time for the civil service is of the utmost importance and want to ensure that, as one of our members, you are aware of this opportunity to share your experience through this survey. If you have already completed the survey, thank you.

Please use the link below to access the survey:

The Partnership has received a few questions about the collection of email addresses in the survey and what they intend to do with the data, and they asked that we share a few details about their rationale for doing so.

The email addresses being collected in the survey will help identify duplicate survey submissions and verify that responses are legitimate. After the survey closes, the Partnership will use a subset of the respondents’ emails and publicly available information to verify that individuals in the subset are people who meet the survey’s qualifications. This information will increase confidence in the validity of the sample.

The Partnership takes data storage very seriously and is collecting responses on a platform that uses end-to-end encryption. Only a few members of the Partnership’s data analysis team will have access to the data while it is being stored. Once their cleaning process is completed, all email addresses will be permanently deleted.

We urge you to take the survey at this link.

The survey should take between 6-8 mins to complete and will remain open until December 19 at 11:59pm EST. If you have questions, you can review this FAQ section on the Partnership’s website or reach out to their team at psvs@ourpublicservice.org. Your participation is voluntary. To avoid conflicting with official duties, we ask that you complete this survey outside of your normal working hours.

To learn more about the survey, please see the Partnership’s recent blog post that addresses other questions you may have about this effort.

Thank you for making your voice heard by contributing to this important effort.
