  • Agencies Get ‘Playbook’ for Conducting Truncated Employee Viewpoint Survey - July 13, 2026

    OPM has issued agencies an “employee survey playbook” as it shifts from itself onto them responsibility for conducting the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, as it earlier had indicated in a notice of proposed rule-making.

    “Agencies must administer their own employee surveys to comply with applicable legal requirements. Agencies have flexibility in determining the approach, timing, and methodology that best meets their needs, provided their survey addresses all required elements,” says a memo on chcoc.gov that includes the playbook as an attachment, along with an infographic summarizing the process.
